Tuesday September 19th 2006
Everyone woke up early to catch
the offshore winds. We ended up at a fun little beach break with
firing barrels. It reminded me of a miniature Point Mugu in California.
I had a little bit harder time getting waves that I could get hits
on because they were very steep barrels and I'm not an incredable
barrel rider like my friend Tyler Thornsley, but I had fun as always.
After awhile we took to seeing who could wipe out the worst
in the barrel or go over the falls because it started to close out
more. My friends standing on the beach said I got a pretty
awesome barrel, but my life long story Ami did'nt catch it on film
or camera! Why is it that your best waves are always missed? Oh
well they can't catch every thing I won't blame them.
After a long session we were starving and I
got a hamburger at this cool gas station along with an adorable
shirt that said Cape Hatteras on the front. We Paddled out at the
same place we surfer earlier, But the winds were on it and it was
really funky. None of my team mates got very many good waves during
this session, I hate choppy big waves, they are my weakness because
I'm only 70 pounds and get tossed around alot on the choppy faces.
I Did get some floaters though. Until next time.
