Day Nine

September 18 Monday
I slept sooooo good last night and was fired up to hit the waves in the morning. We ended up surfing the lighthouse for our early morning session and caught it four foot and glassy. So fun! I got some fun waves with a couple swaks.

Sorry not many pics because Mr. Kevin was taking pictures of the contest area. I also got to see and surf with my good friends Chelsea, Samantha, and Olivia.

When the light house started slowing down we stuffed ourselves at subway. afterwards we paddled out at the Rodanthy Pier, about 45 minutes north of where we were staying. To our surprise we found perfect reeling 8-10ft. barrels (sorry no pix). I got some fun waves and was surprised that I was making some of them and their difficult drops. I remember feeling on one that I was in the barrel, but Ami our camera girl said I wasn't! I still don't believe her because I felt that adrenalin rush that feels so good and unfortunatlly she missed my wave on camera so I guess we'll never know. Anyway my heats getting closer and I am so excited!
