Homecoming Dance
Merritt Island Christian 2007
My first homecoming dance was an awesome experience. The entire afternoon was full of excitement from getting my hair and nails done, to the dance and then the limo ride home. I think my mom was more freaked out and excited than I was although I was very excited myself. My handsome date, Garrick, a good friend who I've known for several years arrived at my house around four o'clock. He was so sweet and even brought me a corsage. From my house we drove to my longtime friend Amber's house. From her house we continued our night with an amazing limousine ride to eat and then to dance our feet off!
The whole high school met at the river front in Cocoa and took what seemed like an endless amount of pictures. I was so surprised at how many of my friends were dressed so sharp and pretty.
My friend Hannah and I pose for the camera for the hundredth time. We have known each other since before we were born. Our parents were married around the same time and have known each other for years. It's funny to look back on pictures and compare ourselves to now since we have both grown and matured alot.
My dad took his share of photos with Garrick and myself. We were about blind by the end of the night with all the flashes going off, but I'm glad he took them because I'm able to share my memories with you now.

To the right was our ride for the evening out. This limo took us from the River Front at Cocoa Village to Olive Garden where I ate a delicious meal of chicken alfredo and then on to the dance at the La Cita Country Club in Titusville. We danced all night long to fun songs like the Macarena and Cha Cha Slide. I danced my very first slow dance and let me tell you... "awkward!" Sure it was fun but I think I'll just stick to the faster songs.
My feet where so sore by the end of the night I could barely walk, but it was worth it because I had a blast. I was so excited when Garrick ask me to his homecoming at Cocoa Beach High... Now I can go dance some more!
All in all homecoming has been the most fun event of the year and I look forward to the next three years of homecoming and especially my Senior Prom in 2011. I hope you enjoyed reading about my first dance and homecoming at Merritt Island Christian.

This was our original escort but we decided to take the limo instead. --->
